Hotels & Tourism Kassel
Kassel is not only situated in the middle of Germany but also in the middle of Europe. The town has developed to the absolute center of contemporary art by its traditional and most important world exhibition “documenta”. The castle of “Wilhelmshöhe” houses the most comprehensive and most important collection of Rembrandt paintings as well as the famous “Apoll of Kassel”. The Grimm brothers, the writers of fairy tails, lived and worked in this town. Kassel is therefore named as the capital city of the German “Fairy Tail Road”.
The town is also easily accessable via various highways and ICE train routes.
